CLUB
RULES & CONSTITUTION Worthing Cavy Club - The name
of the club shall be "Worthing Cavy Club", hereafter called "the
Club".
- The object of the Club is to promote
the breeding and showing of all varieties of cavy.

The affairs of the Club shall be managed by its Committee. The Committee shall
consist of a President, Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer (the Officers of the
Club), and not more than six Committee Members.

All members of the Committee are to be elected annually at the Annual General
Meeting. No person under 18 years of age can be nominated for the Committee. Up
to two Junior Members of the Club of between 14 and 18 years of age can be co-opted
onto the Committee and Young Fanciers' Representatives, if two thirds of the Committee
are in agreement.
- The quorum for a Committee Meeting
will be four, of which at least two must be Officers of the Club.

The Club Rules cannot be altered except at an Annual General Meeting. Any member
wishing to make an alteration or amendment must give 28 days written notice of
the proposed alteration or amendment to the Secretary. The proposal will then
be voted on by those members attending the AGM.

A balance sheet shall be prepared each year and shall be presented at the Annual
General Meeting.
- An Extraordinary General Meeting
can be held if a written request is received by the Secretary from any four other
members of the Committee, or by eight fully paid-up adult Club members. The meeting
must take place within thirty days of the written request being received by the
Secretary.
- Junior Members of the Club paying Juvenile
subscription rates have no voting rights at the Annual General Meeting, or at
any Extraordinary General Meeting.
- The Club subscription
rate shall be reviewed annually at the Annual General Meeting. Subscriptions are
due on January 1st of each year.
- All members of
the Club agree to abide by the SCC Show Regulations.

The Committee may, without assigning a reason, accept or refuse any application
for membership, or renewal of membership to the Club.

All Club Trophies awarded by the Club are for fully paid-up members only. They
remain the property of the Club and shall be competed for annually. Every winner
of a Club Trophy undertakes its safe custody, and to return it on or before the
Trophy Show of the succeeding year, or to be liable to replace it with a trophy
of equal value, at their own expense.
- The Committee
are authorised to refuse any exhibitor's entry to a Worthing Cavy Club show without
assigning a reason to the exhibitor.
- Only bona fide
exhibitors at a Worthing Cavy Club show, or the judges engaged to judge that show,
are permitted to offer stock for sale. All such sale stock must be cleared by
the Show Manager or his/her representative before being offered for sale.

The Committee shall have full power to deal with and decide any matter pertaining
to the running of and good name of the Club, where not otherwise provided for
in these rules.
